Per city ordinance: Garbage will be picked up every Tuesday morning, and residents should have their garbage set out at the curb by 7am. Each residence is allowed four regular black garbage bags or two 44-gal trashcans for regular pickup by the city. Anything more needs to have garbage stickers placed on them, which can be purchased at city hall. The weight of the bags or cans must not exceed 50 lbs.

Recycling is picked up the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, and also needs to be set out on the curb by 7am. The recycling needs to be sorted within the tote, with paper items in a separate bag. Recycling instructions can be found here:  City of Richland Recycling Instructions
